One day, I got a message about a job. The message said the company saw my resume and wanted to hire me. The job paid a lot of money, and it said I could work from home. At first, it sounded great, and I thought it was real.
But after looking closer, I noticed some strange things. The email had spelling mistakes. The company name did not match the email address. They also asked me to send personal information, like my full name and a picture of my ID. This felt wrong, and I started to think it was a scam.
The reason for this scam was to steal people’s information or money. Scammers pretend to offer a good job so people get excited and trust them. Then they ask for personal details or try to get you to send money for “work equipment.”
There are ways to tell if a message like this is fake. You can look up the real company online. You can check if the email address looks correct. You should also never share personal information until you know the job is real. If something feels strange, or if the offer sounds too good to be true, it is probably a scam.
